Accurate to 14 days: First trimester ultrasound is accurate to approximately 7 days. Sperm can stay in the system up to a week. Largest margin of error approximately 14 days. Your doc is correct.

Accurate: First trimester us is very accurate but remember gestational age is 2 weeks more than conceptual age.
