Look at your thyroid: The heart can be affected by your metabolic rate. That's usually controlled by the thyroid gland. You need to see your doctor so that they can work up your thyroid hormone levels, and antibodies. This will be one way to rule out, and identify if it's causing a rapid heart rate. Also, it's been said that amalgams can also have an effect on heart rate if the mercury is getting into the bloodstream through your saliva. So you may need to see your dentist as well.
