Breakthrough: You are having breakthrough bleeding. In order for uterine lining to be 'stable' your Progesterone and estrogen (2 female hormones) have to be in correct relationship to each other. Maybe there is a slight hormone imbalance. Other reasons could by thyroid, or weight (thin/heavy). If bothers you, can consider birth control to regulate periods. See a gynecologist or fp to discuss if concerned.
