See MD: The symptoms do not sound like TMJ or myofacial disorder. There are numerous causes of head and neck pain from tension to migraines. It may not get any worse but may keep reoccurring. See your physician who can treat or refer you to specialist like neurologist.

See a Dr.: You need to see a dr., who may want to refer your to an eye specialist, an ENT dr. And/or run some tests. I would not hesitate.

See your physician: You need to rule out that there are no medical issues that may be present. Check with your physician asap and if you or ok medically, check with your dentist as it may be related to your TMJ issue. Rule out medical first.

See MD: Might be exacerbation of your TMD, or something else. Since you don't want to delay with eye problems, see your MD first. If no eye problem, see TMJ specialist. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
