Spitting blood: Yes, the heat and irritants in the smoke can cause throat damage, even throat cancer. But the bleeding can be from infected tonsils, gum disease, acid reflux, and many other factors. Recommendation: Stop smoking...anything. See both your General Dentist and General Physician. Referral to one or more specialists may be in order.
