I have tonsillitis for 5days. taking clindamycin 300 my q8 for 24h. my fever still coming back. when does fever subside?

Need recheck: If fever persists more than 3 days after treatment initiated, you need a recheck. Several possibilities exist. You may have a resistant bacteria causing the infection and need a different medicine. The infection may be viral, even something like mono, and antibiotics won't help at all. You may also have developed a complication such as a tonsillar abcess. Regardless, if still fever, need recheck!
