Unovered skin: Not covered skin is unprotected. Use hats, long sleeves, long pants, shirts covering back, glasses. Areas were mosquitos live and near ponds, lakes, sea.

West Nile Virus: Wnv is a mosquito-borne virus found in temperate and tropical regions of the world. Wnv disease occurred sporadically and was considered a minor risk for humans until an outbreak in the 1990's with wnv-encephalitis. Wnv is now considered to be an endemic pathogen in africa, asia, australia, the middle east, europe and the United States. In 2012, 286 americans died from wnv.
