BPV-rocks in ears!: Benign positional/paroxysmal vertigo can be caused by otoliths inside your semi-circular canals in the inner ear. They are what tells your brain the position of your head in space. If rocks are in wrong spot, they touch the little hair cells that signal movement to your brain, but your eyes don't see movement, so it feels like room is tilting. Causes nausea too.
