Lactic acid: Your legs have the biggest muscles and if you work them past a certaint point they out strip their oxygen supply. When that happens they make lactic acid. That is the point when muscles start to burn. It is a good stimulus for the muscles to develop. When a lot of Lactic Acid is the blood people often get nauseous. Keep it up and it will get better.
