Eye exam: There are many causes of eye discharge. It could be blepharitis (clogged oil glands on the eyelids), a blocked tear duct, infection or dry eyes. I recommend he clean his eyelids (near eyelashes) twice a day with baby shampoo and use warm compresses over the eyelids twice daily. This will help open his oil glands and clean the eyelid margins. You should see your eye doctor for evaluation.
