Have dentist check: A dentist should check to be sure the ulcer is not something more serious. In addition, it may be treatable with a laser to help it heal faster.

Dentist/oral surgeon: I would not keep hoping it will heal on its own at this point. See a dentist/oral surgeon whom may want to swab and biopsy.
