Conjuctivitis: You may have a conjunctivitis ("pink eye"), which can most commonly be caused by a virus, bacteria, or allergies. If it lasting that long, best for you to get it evaluated and treated. Good luck.

An exam helpful: Red eye without comment on pain, but worsening vision makes me wonder about low grade inflammation, perhaps asymmetrical dryness or allergy. The latter two usually feel scratchy, dry, or itchy. With your arthritis like systemic history, i'd wonder whether you have an anterior uveitis. An exam is necessary for you and i recommend seeing an ophthalmologist.
