Not false: The pancreas not working properly, or the Insulin it produces stops working is what type two diabetes is. So, no, there is no such thing as false positive diabetes.

No: An a1c is an average glucose level over 3 months. Although some racial differences with the test exist the a1c is very accurate. Target a1c levels for most people with diabetes is 6.5-7.0 percent.
