Depends: Cystoscopy done in the office will only look at the bladder and cannot evaluate the kidneys unless the urologist sees blood draining into the bladder from one of the ureters. If the procedure includes a retrograde pyelogram the dye will be injected into the ureters and xrays taken to evaluate the kidneys' collecting systems so some stones and some tumors may be seen in the kidneys.
