Urban legend: These two actions are done most likely a million times a day by teenagers, many with asthma, and there are no severe cases of asthma exacerbation's seen. This is most likely an urban legend with no true validity. On the other hand, if you want to assure children get good grades and stay fit and healthy, they probably should not play video games and drink soda too often.

Yes: Drinking too much soda is associated with asthma and COPD according toa study at university of adelaide. And another study at montclair state university found increased incidence of er visits for atients with asthma who spend too much me playing video games.
