I have sinus infection and am on my 2nd rd of amox. my neck glands are extremely uncomfortable. is this a normal part of the sinus infection?

Viral: A viral infection is suggested as the cause of the neck gland symptoms and this type of infection is not affected by antibiotics and usually just runs its course. If you have a bacterial sinus infection following a head cold, Amoxicillin may not be effective and a stronger antibiotic like avellox or Levaquin (levofloxacin) may be needed. Discuss this with your physician if your sinusitis doesn't improve.
