To be expected: Lack of movement can increase the chance of swelling in the legs, especially when sitting. Standing and walking periodically can help prevent this. Long periods of sitting, like in a plane, increase the risk of blood clots in the legs also. Another reason to get up and move, so muscle activity can help move blood and lymph through your system.
