Bleeding = Not Preg: Whenever you have withdrawal bleeding (the equivalent to a period when using birth control), you're shedding your uterine lining which means there's no soil for the seed or if there was a seedling, it's now gone and nature has taken its course. Very glad you're on birth control. In general, you replace patches each week for 3wks, and the 4th week is patch free for withdrawal bleeding.
