Extent of damage: The surgery was life saving but these hematomas compress brain tissue and may cause lingering damage. At this point, might wonder if any rebleed or perhaps brain swelling. Rehab efforts via physical and occupational therapy might help, and important to be patient as healing in the elderly can be quite delayed.
