YES, great concern!: All doctors will agree that your ferritin is quite low which indicates significant iron deficiency. Are you anemic? While labs in the us consider 200-900 normal, in japan and europe the low end of normal is 500-550. Get evaluation: Your b-12 level is borderline at best, and you need further testing to include methyl melonic acid and homocysteine. You might need supplemental injections. Do you suffer sleep disorder, restless leg syndrome as reason for checking ferritin? Best to proceed with your doctor to deal with these emerging issues.

Iron deficiency: Low ferritin is due to iron deficiency. Common causes are menstrual blood loss, or gastrointestinal blood loss. Talk to your doc. Nsaids can cause GI inflammation and bleeding. Lowish B12 may be deficient. Ask for methyl malonic acid blood test for confirmation.
