See your doctor: Have your doctor check for subclinical food allergies that sometimes can cause hyperpigmentation on olive or darker skin types if chronic. Not sure of the cause of spreading. You need to see your doctor to get a baseline check, and s/he may refer you to a dermatologist for a definitive diagnosis.
