A member asked:

Since starting bystolic (nebivolol) 18 months ago, 2.5 mg for htn, my ast/alt & ldl have been rising steadily. i've read this med is extensively metabolized in the liver, will switching to an arb reverse the rise?

No: I think you need to see a GI specialist and check your liver --.

Evaluation: Rise in liver enzymes and LDL is likely not related to bystolic (nebivolol). Best would be to see your doctor for evaluation of cause of changes.
