20 weeks pregnant and just had gallbladder surgery. so constipated. is it safe to take an enema? been taking colace (docusate sodium) and drinking juice. it's not helping.

Try suppository: Enema may stir up the uterus a bit. Fluids, prunes, dulcolax oral or suppository are next steps. See OB gyn if not better in a day!
