Doubt...: ...That you would run into withdrawal with missing 1 day of lexapro (escitalopram). Hard to say about 2 days, whether you would have withdrawal or just not feel as good because your blood level is now lower after not taking it and you may realize how much it has been doing for you as far as mood and anxiety. But why miss any days at all? Use a medication box to help yourself remember to take everyday!

No: Missing one day of Lexapro (escitalopram) will not usually cause withdrawal symptoms. However, the longer the interval without medication, the more probable you will have withdrawal or relapse.

Generally not: Escitalopram and citalopram are relatively long-acting, and withdrawal or discontinuation symptoms tend not to occur in many people, or may occur after 3-4 days. However, why are you missing doses, particularly more than one? If the drug is causing side effects, talk to your doctor. Symptoms, even when they occur, are usually mild- irritability, some insomnia, anxiety and electric shock feelings.
