Always ask your OB: Amox/ampicillin is catergory b- means- no risk/adverse fetal effects but controlled human 1st trimester studies not available. The question is whether you trully needs antibiotic. Always ask your OB just to be certain and to confirm the need for you to take antibiotic or any drug during your pregnancy.
