Ignore: Always consult with a lawyer because the politics of parenthood can be very very complex.

Ignore: Have an attorney at your disposal to go over legal and ethical issues.

Ignore: Surrogate willingly signs a contract agreeing to her role and responsibilities in the pregnancy.

Ignore: A very personal decision. Check your personal feelings and those of your partner..and surrogate.

Having: Having a baby with surrogacy = complex process, like adoption working w' a psychologist makes sense.

Ignore: Get a competent experienced lawyer. Make sure that your surrogate is screened by a psychiatrist.

Ignore: Do recognize that surrogacy is largely unregulated. Custody disputes can and do occur!

Ignore: Be sure your legal papers are in order and it's not a hand shake deal.

Ignore: Be very careful about using an overseas surrogate - there have been many tragic outcomes/circumstanc.
