And vice versa: Many people with dissociative disorders brought on by severe trauma have alters that go out at night because have their own activities they enjoy that the host personality may disapprove of. More often than not these alters are reabused at night, the host is unaware of the lost time, and the sleep loss leads to a wearing down of the host personality's defenses. Vicious circle. Talk to your doctor.
