See two, sometimes: There are many possible causes of intermittent double vision. First question is: does it always go away when you close one eye? Eye muscle imbalances, media opacities like cataract or corneal scars, thyroid conditions, cranial nerve weaknesses (palsies), raised pressure inside the skull, medication side effects, muscle weakness like myesthenia and many other causes are all possible.
