Not GYN related...: At age 45, if you are still cycling, the ovaries will stil produce 'cysts' every month. The fact that they could not even see one of your ovaries indicates that that ovary was not polycystic. This would make pcos less of an explanation of your symptoms. It seems that there should be a search for other causes.

Call doctor: Ask if they can see you earlier, explain the issue and if not possible to get in earlier consider going to an er. Good luck.
