Yes: Clomid (clomiphene) induces your body to produce more cysts than you would otherwise produce and for those cysts to release their eggs (ovulation) to increase the likelihood of conceiving. Occasionally Clomid (clomiphene) can cause large cysts or too many cysts, and a dangerous complication called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, but this is rare.

Potentially: You must be monitored closely when you are taking Clomid (clomiphene) because sometimes it overstimulates the ovaries and causes large and fragile cysts. They will resolve but you can't continue the Clomid (clomiphene) until they do. Small cysts are not a bad thing and normally represent immature eggs.
