No, not really.: Looking 'toned' means that your muscles show through the layer of fat between them and your skin. A combination of resistance training to make muscles bigger, and eating 'paleo' style (search online for 'paleo diet') gives the best chance of looking toned. The only time waiting works is if you've suddenly lost a lot of weight and your skin is sagging; that may eventually improve.
