A member asked:

What disorder is characterized by aggression?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many: Aggression is a common symptom in many disorders. In my practice of child & adolescent psychiatry, aggression is actually the most common reason for referral. Aggression is a somewhat generic reaction of some people who are in distress. Aggression alone is not much help diagnostically. Discovering the underlying causes, or triggers, for the aggression is the key to proper diagnosis.
