Does eating ice make u stay on your cycle longer or bleed more?

Dr. Alvin Lin answered

No: Compulsively eating ice (pagophagia) has no causative effect on the duration or intensity of your menses. However, it may be a sign of anemia (low blood) from heavy menses. Go see your family doc for a simple blood test to check your blood count.
