Dreams: Are these daydreams or night-time dreams. To dream at night about the same thing for several days is pretty common. Just means something has strongly captured our attention. If it is happening constantly during the daytime, that suggest a more abnormal preoccupation. Excessive daydreaming, however, is not a sign of schizophrenia (if that is what you meant by a 'crack' in consciousness).
