BCP's near menopause: Actually, oral bcp's are helpful to reduce the estrogen level produced by ovaries, and according to recent medical literature, unless there is a contraindication (blood clots, etc.) are protective in some heart problems. As long as one is within 5 years of menopause occurrence, oral bcp's may make your quality of life improve.
