Not related: As far as i know. Thrush is caused by a fungus, candida albicans, and can be a sign of diabetes or immune deficiencies, but sometimes just occurs without underlying predisposition. Smoking cigarettes impairs our immune response, and might make thrush harder to treat or get rid of, but it doesn't cause it. You need a medical evaluation by your doctor, and treatment is usually very easy.

What to do?: First stop smoking! this is a known carcinogen and exposes you to oral as well as other cancers and other health risks. Sorry, but I have seen the ravages of cancer numerous times in my own patients. Secondly, see your dentist who can prescribe medication to treat the oral thrush.
