Herpes?: Lumps, bumps, blisters and other skin abnormalities on the genitals need to be evaluated. An examination will be needed to know the cause and treatment. "painful lump" could indicate you are having a herpes outbreak although many other possibilities exist. If they are not painful then genital warts is another. A doctor will need to see the area to make a diagnosis
