A member asked:

How can i become a research scientist studying type 1 diabetes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

School: The first step would be to obtain a bachelor's degree in a science field. You may be able to get you foot in the door into a laboratory at this point to gain on the job training as a scientist, even if it is not in a lab that studies type i diabetes. Depending on your situation, enrolling in a master's or even phd program to further your training will give you more opportunities. Good luck!
