A member asked:

Can birth control pills cause a lot vaginal discharge? thought i peed myself but i didn't bcuz i felt very wet (also treating a uti w/ antibiotics)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: There are many possible causes of abnormal discharge. Some of these include chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichimoniasis, and bacterial vaginosis. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichimoniasis are all sexually transmitted infections which are contracted through sexual intercourse. Bv is not, but can be reintroduced by the bacteria on your partner's penis.
