Spotting: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. After sex: It is probably from the sex. Earlier was probably due to ovulation unless you are on the pill then that type of discharge is a bit less common. If your tissue or cervix is is irritated in sex a little blood can happen.
