A member asked:

I need to know any reasons for not donating my baby's cord blood after it is born?

CORD BLOOD STORAGE: There is no consequences that can affect you or your baby from a medical point of view. The main issue is the need by a recepient ( the patient who needs the cord blood), and preparation and storage costs.

No medical reason: There is no medical contraindication for this, the only reason not to would be if you have philosophical reasons against it.
