My bf was diagnosed with myotonic dystrophy type 2, tho he has many of the symptoms of type 1. tried many docs & meds with no luck. any advice?

Dystrophy: He should have seen a neurologist by now and should have had a biopsy that distinguished type 1 from .Type 2. In either case he should have been undergoing intensive physical and occupational therapy. Become affiliated with a university teaching hospital if at all possible for comprehensive treatment.
