Probably not,Rx for?: Anything possible but 10mg, very small dose ; is sub-therapeutic for most people. If you have mitral value prolapse , this may unmasked it or a thyroid problem. A more plausible explanation is that the dose is not high enough to treat the underlying problem. Everything begins w/ DX ; why this is being prescribed ; other meds, r/o interactions. Ask pcp about sympathetic nervous system cardiac syndrom.

Just upped my dose of nortriptyline from 5mg to 10mg and experiencing some increased anxiety from it. Racing heart, jittery, nervousness. Is this normal? I had no side effects intially and it has helped my migraines. Wondering if it will go away.
I am on 20 mg nortriptyline daily for migraine headaches. It has raised by resting heart rate from 52 bpm to 72 bpm. Unsurprisingly I am a distance runner, and it seems as if it is significantly slowing my pace. Does that make sense?
