Exam : Your symptoms could be a reaction to the anesthesia or an early sign of a blood clot. Due to your history of tobacco use, obesity and diabetes your risk for a blood clot is higher than others. Also, if you stopped blood thinners prior to surgery this may also increase your risk. If you have leg pain, redness or swelling you should see your doctor immediately.
