If valium is so addicting then why would my gp have me on it for 2 yrs? this is negligent on his part, will the pchychiatrist b mor help

They r potentially addictive, but most people who take them develop physical dependence w/o developing addiction, with addiction best understood as the compulsive use in progressively larger amounts even at the cost of other things in life. If after 2 yrs u still struggle with anxiety, a psych eval is worthwhil.
