Cymbalta (duloxetine) dosing: Cymbalta (duloxetine) is an antidepressant of the snri class which is manufactured in 20, 30 and 60 mg capsules. Depending on the patient's needs, it will be prescribed on any of those strengths or its combinations, most likely 60 mg if needed to control symptoms of anxiety, depression and pain. Therefore, 30 mg could be enough or not depending upon the person 's response to treatment.

Variable: Cymbalta (duloxetine) may be initiated at 30mg daily for tolerability, and this may help in some. Generally though, 60 mg is a target dose. It makes sense to use the lowest dose that provides effective results.
