See details: The patterns are not that important. The ANA is strongly positive. With pulmonary issues there is a strong possibility of an underlying connective tissue disorder. Have you seen a rheumatologist?

Positive ANA: A positive ANA along with shortness of breath is concerning for autoimmune lung disease. A rheumatologist should be consulted. The pattern is less important than a comprehensive history and physical reviewing all organ systems in narrowing down the diagnosis. Write down any symptoms and bring results of any tests already done. Best of luck to you.
