A member asked:

If baby is lactose intolerant then do i need to stop taking milk if breastfeeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: If baby is truly lactose intolerant, s/he will not be able to tolerate your milk. All human milk contains lactose. If you are not lactose intolerant, you can consume it and it will not effect the "lactose" content of babies milk. Some babies are partially intolerant to lactose after diarrheal illness, but recover.
