Uncomfortable feeling in left leg, sort of like pins and needles that wont go away, mainly on thigh. what could it be and what's causing it?

Neuromuscular: Meralgia paresthetica is numbness or neuropathic pain in the lateral thigh. This is commonly seen after sudden drastic changes in weight (gain or loss). Most of the time is self limited and improves over time. Medications like lyrica, (pregabalin) gabapentin, Cymbalta or Amitriptyline may help. Check with your physician for proper diagnosis.
