Very early: A baby's heart rate barely becomes visible around 6 weeks. At 6 weeks and 1 day, the "flicker" may or may not be seen. I would suggest repeating the sonogram in 2 weeks to get a better image and confirm the heartbeat. In the meantime, don't dwell on the heart rate. Concentrate on keeping yourself healthy for your baby.
